Millions of years ago, the galaxy was at war. A group of allied star systems, the Vetanari, began a conquest of the Milky Way to subjugate the galaxy to their rule. The remaining systems banded together, adopting the name the Anaris, in a desperate stand against the Vetanari.

The war was a bloody, never-ending stalemate, until the Vetanari unleashed a weapon that threatened the universe: a ship with the power to destroy stars, The Harvester.
Knowing that they stood no match against the Vetanari's weapon, the Anaris sacrificed their lives, worlds, and technology to create weapon of legendary power: the Archon. With the Archon on their side, the Anaris defeated the Vetanari, and banished the survivors from the galaxy.

Eons passed, and The year is now 2505 A.D. and the galaxy is again at war. The Earth Systems Alliance, together with her allies, have joined to form the Orion Federation. In retaliation, the opposite power of the Terisian Axis struck the allied systems in full force.

As the war draws to another stalemate, both sides find themselves thrown into a race to find the legendary technology of before; but everything is not as it seems. As the fog of war grows thick, mysterious events begin to unfold across the galaxy obscured from the view of the population.
Captain James Smith has always been a skeptic of the galactic myths. As the Commanding Officer of the E.S.C. Imperial he does not allow such legends to distract the ship from it's goal. But after the ship investigates an occurrence just beyond Earth, the crew find themselves unwillingly drawn into a search for the Archon on the fringes of allied space and beyond.
