"Score" one for stepfamilies (because let's face it- it HAS to be the little things that keep us going. After doing this for a while, I am worn-down and jaded). Anyway, last year BM had her lawyer threaten litigation against the skids' school district if the PTSO didn't remove my name and my kids' names from skids' listings. The principal thought it was ridiculous, but he had to concede as their wording in the PTSO by-laws was "parent or guardian".
Well, that principal and PTSO made something happen! This year, the form actually included a place for "other adults in house" and specified step parents! They apparently changed their by-laws to reflect that not every family is a nuclear family anymore...good for them.
I will not be one bit surprised if that lunatic has her lawyer try to find a loophole in their wording or something. But guess what? I am completely beyond caring at this point. It will just make her look like the sick, sad, beastly mess that she is. A vile creature, our BM!
