DeLorean making a comeback? with a new stainless steel bike?

You're gonna need one hell of a big hill to pedal your way to 88 mph

Ever since the movie?Back to the Future came out, we've wanted?a DeLorean for our very own. The problem: The sports car was an undesirable, notorious flop ? only 9,000 were ever made before the DeLorean Motor Company's bankruptcy in 1982. That makes DeLoreans highly collectible, priced well outside the grasp of ordinary folks.

The company's still not making new cars in earnest, but DeLorean CEO Stephen Wynne just fired up the plant for one more creation: A DeLorean branded bike. Made in stainless steel just like the namesake car, the bike may sate the appetite for any true DeLorean fanboy.

If you're interested in owning a piece of?automobile history... er, biking history... you'd better start pinching pennies. Like the original DeLorean car, this bike carries quite the steep price tag: $5,495. But hey, you may be able to rig the bike with a flux capacitor, pedal the thing to 88 MPH, and hand yourself a copy of?Gray's Sports Almanac in the past so you can afford it. And when you think about it that way, can you really afford?not to buy this bike?
