<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>'s plan to show a grown-up side in his music videos seems to be working. The singer's <a href="/news/articles/1684446/justin-bieber-boyfriend-video.jhtml"> latest entry, "Boyfriend,"</a> has broken a YouTube record for single-day stats, meaning that lots and lots of people peeped the clip.</P><P>Within 24 hours of the video's release on Thursday, it had racked up a whopping 8 million views on the site, according to <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/earshot/justin-biebers-boyfriend-video-youtube-shatters-320600" target="_blank"><i>The Hollywood Reporter.</i></link> And as of press time, the video had gained more than 17 million streams — all that in under a week!</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Frame By Frame: Justin Bieber's 'Boyfriend'" id="vid:766128.id:1684574" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Bieber and his pals hang out in a parking lot filled with muscle cars in the new video. But in addition to popping and locking, Justin also snuggles with a female co-star. When he sat down with MTV News to talk about the <a href="/news/articles/1684418/justin-bieber-boyfriend-video-cars-girls.jhtml">Director X-directed video</a>, he opened up about casting his lovely video girl, Rachel Barnes.</P><P>"They picked two girls based on the pictures, then they came and then we picked the best one who looked best on camera. It was kind of a group thing 'cause she was really beautiful and on camera it was this cool vibe," Bieber revealed. "She looked kind of like Pocahontas."</P><P>Over the weekend, Barnes chatted with <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2012/05/06/justin-bieber-video-rachel-barnes/"_blank">TMZ</a> and said that while she and Bieber have chemistry in the clip, in real life she married her husband in 2011.</P><P>"Justin and Selena are adorably inseparable and I, myself, am already married. I'm a Belieber, but he's not my boyfriend," she told the site. "It's been great to be a part of the Bieber madness ... even if only for a song."</P><P>Bieber took some time off from promoting "Boyfriend" to chill with <a href="/news/articles/1684542/justin-bieber-lil-wayne-skateboarding.jhtml">skating buddy Lil Wayne</a> and 50 Cent in <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/05/06/floyd-mayweather-defeats-miguel-cotto-lil-wayne-and-50-cent-meet-justin-bieber-watches/">Las Vegas</a>, where they cheered on Floyd Mayweather Jr. as he beat Miguel Cotto.</P><P>"In and out of vegas for the fight. now back for rehearsals tomorrow," he <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/justinbieber" target="_blank">tweeted</a> over the weekend. "Goodnight world. hard work and dedication."</P><P>The Biebs will be rehearsing for an appearance on "The Voice" this week.
