What do you think of my long distance relationship? | 888 Phone ...

I met my bf in India when I was 17, came to America 6 months after meeting him, and now I?m 22. I plan to go to India and marry him in a year or two (after completing my bachelors degree). BTW, I?m Indian too but US citizen. In the years that we?ve been separated, we didn?t see each other at all. He can?t come to America because he doesn?t have a green card or visa, I can?t go to India because my parents are against this relationship. (I?m secretly talking to him but parents think we?ve broken up). We only see each other through pictures and talk to each other as often as we can on the phone or email. We?re still crazy in love. So what do you think of someone getting married who has been in a 7-8 year long distance relationship?
I, seriously, have no idea why my parents are against him. I?ve asked my dad so many times and everytime he seems to beat around the bush. My dad says he?s dark so he can be lying about his caste. Because my bf?s dad passed away when he was young, my dad thinks my bf might be an illegal child and his mother?s a prostitute. Seriously, these are really stupid things to me. Caste system is long gone from India and I know he?s the same caste as me. So I have no idea what the hell my dad?s problem is and my mom just won?t speak up for me and says ?ur dad?s right?.
And I?m not marrying him so I can rebel against my parents. I?m rebelling against my parents because they have stupid reasoning and won?t even consider listening to me. I?ve actually tried breaking up with my bf so many times because my parents weren?t happy but turns out that just leaves me miserable. I?ve tried dating other guys but I don?t feel the same attraction to anyone else.
